What a day of progress for our family. Some highlights:
- We all slept last night for full nights. We even had to wake Caroline up for breakfast. (She slept on me all night but at least she slept)
- Sarah Grace & Caroline laughed with each other and played together.
- We went to the zoo this morning. Caroline was more bright-eyed than we had seen her. She was pointing at animals and attempting to say words.
- She clearly called for her DaDa today and maybe said MaMa, too.
- Andy & I each got to spend one-on-one time with each girl. We enjoyed it and both girls did as well.
- Caroline had fewer spells of sadness today.
Things are definitely looking up around here. Bonding will be a process but seeing progress encourages us tremendously.
We spent the morning at the Guangzhou Zoo. It was a chilly 42 degrees. Not too cold, except that packed for 70 degree days!
After that, Sarah Grace & Angie went to the Pearl Market. It's a huge 6-story building full of pearls. Jewelry dealers from around the world buy pearls there. It was overwhelming. I bought pearl earrings for both girls. Then, at a children's store next to the market, I got winter coats for both girls ($4 each). Sarah Grace & I took our first Chinese cab ride and it wasn't nearly as scary as it looks! We might try it again.
This evening we ate dinner at McDonalds. Dinner options are rather limited. Then we all walked around some stores. A clerk asked us where we are from. Sarah Grace responded by telling the clerk the name of our street! Cute answer but not too helpful for the clerk :)
Andy & Sarah Grace are asleep as I write. Hopefully Caroline will be soon. Tomorrow, we go to the orphanage.
Thank you for your prayers. God is using them powerfully in our lives.

Angie,
I am so glad things are going so well for you. You must be in Heaven to have your two girls together. I love watching your blogs, your family is so beautiful. Your little girl is just so cute.

A good nights sleep can do wonders for everyone. Will you see the nannies again at the orphanage? I pray it doesn't impead the progress you are making with Caroline. The temp is surprising, I guess I thought it would be much warmer also.
Enjoy your day with the girls, they are so very cute together!

Wiggins Family!
We are so happy you are all together now! I get up each morning and check your blog for new pics and info! What a blessing for me each day to see your family and to hear of your adventures! Stay warm! BTW ask the hotel for a menu to Danny's bagels. A lot of the people we traveled with on our first trip used them a lot. The food is good and farely inexpensive and they deliver!!!!
Hi Wiggins Family.
I'm so happy to see your smiles and news of progress. I can't believe it is in the 40's in Guangdong! I guess that is really winter for them then. If it makes you feel any better, I think it is 2 degrees again here now. ;)
Still in our prayers and thoughts...
Denise
Wow - what a quick answer to prayer! We all prayed for you at church last night and then we learn of a better day for all of you. I love the new pictures. She looks so cuddly. I think she actually resembles Cole!?!*!
Love you all.

I'm so glad things are going better. It will be a process...as you are well aware. Just keep doing what you are doing.
I'm jealous of the temps there. When were there, the zoo trip was the most miserable trip we had ever taken. It was so hot and humid we were begging to go back to the bus! I could handle the weather you are having!
Didn't Danny's Bagels close? I thought I heard that. Our fav. place was the noodle shop by the White Swan, but I heard they closed at least last year. Man, it was a cheap, good meal. Believe it or not, we never even went to McDonalds.
Enjoy this precious bonding time!

Yay, God! More, Lord! We're sending you a load of love and hugs.
Funny- I can't remember where we ate in Guangzhou. I know we ate a McD's, but I'm sure we didn't eat there everyday!
Love you!
